  Terrible experience with these guys. Running around town on my commuter bike in the afternoon a while ago and I got my second flat, which I didn't have a tube for. I was near Cecil Walker so went in to grab a tube and a new tire. I told the salesman what tube and tire I was after, and he argued that I didn't want a wire bead. I did. Never mind the fact that the tire was completely overpriced compared to other retailers, when I asked the total cost, he told me the cost of the tire and tube "plus $20 to get my hands dirty." Told him I was actually planning to change the tube myself outside where my bike was. His response was "yeah, right, let's see how you go." I was mortified. I paid and changed my tube, and the whole way home I felt horrible. Maybe it is a once off, but I would rather walk home with a flat than go back. Maybe he is less rude to men, but I'd tell anyone, especially women, to steer clear.

  I have never left a review before but I feel utterly compelled to review this place. First of all, there is only 1 friendly staff member and his name is Troy. Second when I got my bike the guy that served me gave me a really creepy vibe and didn't even give me my receipt but I didn't notice until I left because I was so uncomfortable. 2.5 months later I go in to pick up my bike form a service and see creepy guy whose name is PETER in there so I went to the back of the store to avoid him. Next thing I hear some mumbling behind my head. I said "pardon?" And it's him, asking me if I am single or partnered. I said "excuse me?" He repeated himself and I said you can't ask me that. Why are you asking me that. He kept asking me and stating that he "just wants to know." He wouldn't leave me alone and in between this Troy came out with my bike and told him to go away and he still wouldn't. It was utterly disgusting, I felt really violated. He followed me around to ask me that. He is a creep and I now think the reason he never gave me my proper receipt and warranty was so that I had to return to the store. Also while all this was happening they were trying to sell me chain oil. I'm sorry but the whole experience was unprofessional and I'm mortified. I won't ever ever ever go back and I'll be telling all of my female friends not to step foot in there. They clearly have no intention of firing him or keeping him away from customers. Cycling for women is already intimidating enough with the constant abuse we get on the road. Really annoyed.
